General Information

We work with children, teens, and adults struggling with a variety of obstacles that are keeping them from flourishing. Common challenges we help people with include anxiety, worry, Eating Disorders, OCD, perfectionism, over-achievement, depression, life transitions, pregnancy and post-partum challenges, and relationship difficulties. We also have specialty and interest in working with people that have these challenges and are on the Autism Spectrum. We enjoy helping people understand the challenges they have that are underlying their disorders (such as perfectionism) and find new ways of managing them so that they can focus on living meaningful lives. The modalities we use are supported by research and include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Family Based Therapy (FBT) for Eating Disorders.

Eating Difficulties

Dieting, picky eating, and over-exercise can become serious problems. If you are at all concerned about yourself or your child or adolescent, it is important to learn more information immediately and determine if it is a serious problem that needs to be promptly addressed. Approaches and tools that we utilize come from the fields of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and, for children and adolescents with Anorexia and Bulimia Nervosa and ARFID, a parent- and family-based approach called Family-Based Therapy (FBT, also often referred to as Maudsley).

For more information on FBT, click the buttons below - both products are available through WeFlurry.

Fears, Worries, and OCD

Many children and adolescents have general worries or specific fears. Some engage in ritualistic behaviors to help them cope, such as obsessions and compulsions. When any of these start to impact general life or daily functioning, it may be time to get help. We support parents and families using cognitive and behavioral strategies, including exposure and response prevention (ERP), which have been shown to be most helpful.

Intensive OCD Treatment

Sometimes clients need extra support, beyond once or twice weekly therapy appointments. Such extra support may especially be needed when two disorders co-occur, such as Eating Disorders and OCD. We are excited to provide additional support through our intensive therapy services. Please contact us to learn more.
